Everything is updated.

News is news.
April 12th, 2012

After updating my portfolio, I thought it would be wise to update this news section.

I've had quite a few highlights early this year (one I can tell you about, and the other will have to wait). I recently had a photo published in the UK Magazine FRONT, which you can see by clicking HERE. The other large highlight so far (the one I can't talk about) is that a certain band is putting a certain photo of mine on one of their tour shirts. I can't say which right now, but I can tell you it's a photo on this site. This is something I can not be more excited about.

Well, summer is just around the corner which means I can escape from my cave and become more active. I have a lot of stuff planned which will have me towing my camera around in hand. I'm hoping to attend a couple of festivals this year, as well as many shows. I'm also interested in picking up a couple creative projects, so if anyone would like to lend a hand/face for anything, let me know!

That's about it for now.

It's a new year, and it's bound to be a big one.

Thanks to everyone who has visited, messaged, or enjoyed any of my work. I'm constantly updating (even if it's not on here), so please watch my Facebook, Twitter & Flickr for the most recent updates.

I can't believe that it's been 4 months since my last update. Actually, I can; I've been quite busy.

I've been working a lot with AUX shooting many shows and running their photo department. We've actually just launched a new site design, so be sure to check that out HERE. There's even a brand new "Photo" section on the page now.

Aside from that, I took two weeks out of my regular life to visit England & Greece last month. I'll be posting a couple photos from my travels in the "Places" section in my portfolio, so keep checking back if you're interested.

In the next month or two I'll be working with good friends Gelaskins. I'll be taking some promo photos for use on their website. In the meantime, order yourself some great skins for your portable devices!

Not to mention that I've seriously expanded my portfolio in ways I couldn't even imagine. I actually accomplished a lot more then I thought this year!

I'd like to take this time to thank everyone so much for everything you've done for me. If it was something as simple as looking at my photos or saying "hi"... I thrive off anything positive.

Looking forward to big plans for 2011!
November 22nd, 2010

I've been busy, busy! However, I've got a great new announcement...

I am officially the new Photo Editor for AUX TV! Big thanks to Jeff Jewiss for suggesting me for the position, I couldn't be happier. I don't owe it all to Jeff though, I owe a huge thanks to everyone who looks at, compliments, criticizes, or likes any of my photos and work I've done. So if you're reading this, you're awesome.

Having said this, please still keep updated with The Singing Lamb. I'm still helping out with the site and we have great content going up almost everyday.

Other then that, I've been pretty steady with shoots and what not. Be sure to check out my portfolio as I'll be adding a couple new images in the next couple of days.

Thanks so much everyone!

Some big news finally came about yesterday; something that's been in the works for almost a year now....

I'm very proud to announce that some of my photos are now available on iPhone and iPod Touch GELASKINS (click the name to take you to their online store)! Now, at the time being, my skins are only an in-store exclusive, so come on down to their Eaton Centre location in Toronto to check them out. I have 6 photos available on the skins, including a couple live concert shots as well as still life shots, and I could not be more excited about this. These skins are great products for your mobile accessories, I've been using them for years now!

Also, another one of my projects is starting up this Friday. I can't tell you much, but the main idea has to do with tattoos, lights and artwork in general. As it evolves I'll let you know more.

Other then these little updates, everything is about the same. Keep checking my site as well as my Flickr page for updates and more photos.

I've got a couple new things to talk about!

First off, please check out the website The Singing Lamb. I've just taken over Photo Editor/Manager position for the website and will be having some of my content shown there. We're always looking for photographer & writers so if you feel like you'd like to contribute please shoot me an e-mail on my contact page or my e-mail address riley@rileytaylorphoto.com.

Secondly, I've got a couple projects on the works. All of which are still in talks but hopefully they evolve further then that! I've also been asked to shoot a wedding in late October and I'm really looking forward to that.

Well, I've got tons of new content going up on my Flickr Account so be sure to check there regularly. Since the last time I've updated this I've posted photos of Land of Talk, Suuns, Caribou and a couple photos I took around Toronto. I've got tons of sets from KOI Music Fest in Kitchener on Sept. 18/10 going up soon as well.

Thanks a lot for the support everyone and please check back regularly!

Maybe I should just make this my monthly news update? It's got that trend...

Anyways, if you haven't already noticed, my great news is that I've teamed up with AUX TV and am shooting shows for them now. I could not be more excited. I've already shot 3 shows for them and have a bunch more planned for September and onwards. Such an awesome website AND television station, so be sure to check them out!

Speaking of AUX, they had asked to shoot the Stone Temple Pilots Toronto show at the ACC last night and if you'd like to see the photos click HERE. The photos won't go up on my Flickr due to rights contracts, but you can view them at anytime on AUX.

Also, because I'm on the subject of new ventures, I've also shot a couple of shows for CHARTattack. If you've never heard of them before, definitely check them out also as they to have many talented photographers and writers.

That's about it for now I guess, be sure to visit MY BLOG if you want to know more in-depth about what's going on.

Really? Almost a month since my last post? I'm sorry.

A lot has been happening with me and I'm busy as always. A couple of things I've been taking photos of include:
- Finished the rest of NXNE
- G20/G8 Protests & Riots here in Toronto
- Silversun Pickups, Against Me! and The Henry Clay People
- Streetlight Manifesto, The Supervillains & The Wonder Years
- Vans Warped Tour
- And The Cool Tour

I've added my favourites to my portfolio on here and you can see my full sets by clicking HERE.

I've also uploaded a couple photos from a photoshoot I did with the lovely April (those can be found HERE).

I've ALSO uploaded a band promo shot I did for a local Metal band called Breaking the Archetype (which can be found HERE).

Anyways, that's about it. August is gearing up to be a busy month with some great news on the way! I won't leave you hanging on the edge for a month, I'll update when I have more to talk about.
June 22nd, 2010

I've been super busy the past couple of weeks and have been meaning to update this. Most of my time has been taken up with photoshoots & live music. I did some promo shots for a band (one can be found HERE) and some very special shots for a friend of a friend (which will be up soon!)... both of which turned out awesome and far better then I had expected.

Following these was the festival here in Toronto called NXNE, which happened this past weekend (actually from June 16th - June 20th). I got out to shoot the 16th, 18th and 19th and caught Eagles of Death Metal, Hot Hot Heat, White Cowbell Oklahoma and Moneen. It was a crazy busy weekend, but it was worth it. I've already posted a photo of Eagles of Death Metal on my site right HERE. So, keep an eye out for more band photos and everything else.
June 4th, 2010

Just a quick note to everyone... I've been handing out quite a few business cards as of late and just wanted to let everyone know that the portfolio on this website is just a home for my favourites and best.

If you want to see more photos of a particular band that you see on here be sure to check my Flickr account (HERE) or my Blog (HERE).

Thank you!

I haven't written a news update for awhile now, so I thought it was about time...

Well, yesterday (May 30th) there was a small art expo in Cambridge, Ontario at Lucky Souls Tattoo to help raise money for people suffering from breast cancer. Even though I was busy helping a friend move that day, I donated a couple prints in frames for a silent auction and one of them was sold! I felt pretty proud to help out with this cause.

This month is gearing up to be full of not just shows, but much much more. I'm hopefully getting some lighting very very and will start doing headshots to help earn a little money for my other projects. If you're reading this and would like headshots please feel free to e-mail me. Also, if you'd like me to come shoot your band playing live anywhere in Toronto, feel free to e-mail me also!

Speaking of other projects, I just kicked off a casual project full of experimenting in the streets of Toronto with my friends Kieran and Jon! Kieran's coined it "latenightsinalleyswithbeardeddudes." So keep an eye open for some of the pieces from that appearing on here!
May 12th, 2010

Well, I've finally decided to give in a start a Twitter account. After much time of despising Twitter, I was given some insight and really explored it myself and it may prove useful!

You can go ahead to my Twitter HERE or just follow @rtphotography.

Thank you so much for everything once again. I'm off to shoot Crime In Stereo tonight at the ELMO and couldn't be more pumped.
May 3rd, 2010
With May arriving and bringing it's warm weather, I see myself shooting a lot more then just shows now. I've got a couple projects planned so it should be an interesting summer. But don't you worry, I'll still be shooting plenty of shows! I've also ordered myself 200 business cards with a selection of 50 different photos on them, all mine of course. I should get those near the end of the month!

Anyways, before all these projects get started click the link below to watch a short promotional video my friend Sean did for me as part of ShiFt_6 Productions!

April 1st, 2010

Firstly, I just wanted to thank all of those who took part in my Facebook contest I had started a week ago. I doubled my fan base which was more then I could have ever expected. Again, thank you all so much for helping me with something I love. If you didn't win, give me a shout if there is a specific print you would like and you'll get a special discount!
